Our project brief was to redefine the beverage experience for Indian consumers using an animal assigned by the university. I was given the gharial, India’s slender-snouted, river-dwelling reptile, to create a fun and culturally rich brand. My mission? To craft a beverage brand that makes consumers rethink what it means to unwind, socialize, and celebrate, without alcohol and without guilt.

The Story Behind Geppu

At Geppu, we wanted to shift the Indian non-alcoholic beverage market into uncharted territory—where every sip is a playful adventure, rooted in local culture yet daringly bold. Gharials are stealthy yet strong, ancient yet agile, and it was their elusive yet powerful presence that inspired the essence of our brand. Much like our chosen reptilian mascot, Geppu promises to surprise you with something unexpected and unforgettable.
